The Future Log Update

I am not a fan of the traditional future log as shown on the bullet journal web site. So for my current BuJo I decided to play around with a new idea.

When I first started bullet journaling, I used the “official” method.  Then I tried the calendex.  Nether really worked for me, so I decided to concoct my own version.

This version is, I guess somewhat comparable to the calendex, in an index sort of way.

I have this as a two-page spread in the back of my journal.  And I simply have 4 columns.

1. Code – this first column I use to link to the page that event first occurs on and would have more details if needed. For instance, if today I find I have a dentist appointment in April, I’d add that event to my daily spread for today, then schedule it to my future log, adding the page number of today’s daily entry to the code column.

2. Month – the second column is the month of the event.

3. Date – the third column is the day, essentially I could have combined the month and date column, but I decided to make them separate.

4. Appointment – the last column has more specific details on the event.

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this future log either.  We shall see how this goes…

How do you future log?

Stay addicted bullet Journal-aholics.
