Two years ago I hiked Killington in its entirety (well from the parking lot).
This year I intended to do it again, but instead opted for the Gondola ride to the top, and just hiked the short Catwalk trail to the top of the peak.
A rocky, but fairly easy hike will bring you to the peak’s top elevation at 4236′. And it promises some pretty spectacular views from almost all angels.
This path leads down the opposite side of the mountain. It is part of the AT (I believe) and will eventually take you to Gifford Woods State Park.
After our Catwalk journey, we explored other areas on the almost top of the mountain.
